Plans, billing and the price lock

How Vautir's plans are bought and managed in the web vault, what the price lock means, and the offer for people switching from another manager.

Where you buy

Plans are bought in the web vault, under Account, Plan, with a card, through Stripe. We keep which plan you have, the price, and when it renews. We never see your card number.

The browser extension and the desktop app show your plan and link to the web vault. The iPhone, iPad and Android apps show your plan, and sell nothing.

Manage your plan opens Stripe’s own page, for your card, your invoices and cancelling.

The price lock

Your subscription keeps the price it was bought at. If we raise prices, the new price is for new subscribers only. The lock lasts as long as the subscription: cancel and come back later, and it’s the price of that day, locked again from then.

Switching from another password manager

Before your first plan, say which password manager you’re leaving and how many months you had left, up to twelve. Your first subscription then starts with that many months free. Once for each account.

Families

A family’s members have Premium while the organizer’s Families subscription lasts. If it ends, the family stays as it is, and its members are back on Free.

If you stop paying

Your account becomes Free. Nothing is deleted, and everything Free includes keeps working.

Teams and Business

An organization’s plan is bought by one of its owners, in the console’s Plan tab, with a price for each person, each month. A new organization tries everything for 14 days. If the trial or the plan ends, nothing is taken away: everyone keeps their vaults, and the organization can’t invite people or make vaults until an owner buys a plan.

A local license

A license for a vault kept only on your devices is paid for once, without an account, and arrives by email.
